Every Thanksgiving for the past 8 years, we’ve gone into New York City for the long holiday weekend. This time—along with all the other things—one of my goals was to make it over to the New Jersey side of the Hudson River and shoot the lower Manhattan skyline from over there. All I needed was a free window and some cooperation from the weather and skies.
Mission accomplished. This was taken from Exchange Place in Jersey City (the first stop on the PATH train once you leave World Trade Center). I ended up taking a series of shots starting just before sunset and lasting well into the so-called blue hour before calling it an evening; this was my favorite of the set.
