Let me get this straight: The Department of Homeland Security—you know, that wonderful government agency charged in part with keeping us poor, defenseless citizens safe from those dangerous, technically savvy terrorists—just awarded Microsoft a five-year, $90 million contract to be their software provider? The same Microsoft whose various OSes are not exactly the most secure systems around and “can be hacked by a squirrel monkey”? (The latest in the never-ending string of Windows security vulnerabilities has been described as “one of the worst Windows vulnerabilities ever”. Which is a lot like saying “one of the worst Shania Twain ‘country’ songs ever”, but I digress.)
“Do as I say, not as I do”…?
Your hard-earned taxpayer dollars at work. I feel safer already!
