The Aggies beat Kansas, 47-22, on Saturday. Granted, pretty much everyone scores 40+ on KU nowadays, but this marks the first time since 1941 (and only the second time ever) that Texas A&M has scored 40+ points in three consecutive games. Another banner offensive day all around, as QB Dustin Long passed for a hair under 400 yards (399, a new team record), RB Derek Farmer went over 100 yards (111 on 21 carries), and a pair of receivers went over 100 yards each (with a third receiver falling just short at 99 yards). The defense held the Jayhawks to around 300 yards, but gave up far too many junk time points for my liking.
A&M is now 5-2 (2-1 in Big 12 play), with Nebraska coming to town this weekend. Just think… in the recent past, this would have been a marquee game. But this season… eh.
