Texas A&M takes a 35-17 lead—at home, no less—against Texas Tech going into the fourth quarter… only to watch Tech score a touchdown on an 88-yard punt return to take a 38-35 lead late in the game.

Then the Aggies score a go-ahead touchdown with less than two minutes left in the game… only to miss a crucial extra-point attempt, leaving them with a 41-38 lead. And, of course, Tech races down the field to score on a game-tying field goal with seconds left in the game.

Then, in the first overtime, A&M scores a touchdown… only to miss the extra point again. And, of course, Tech also scores a touchdown, kicks the extra point, and A&M loses a thriller, 48-47.

The much-maligned Aggie offense racks up over 500 yards of total offense—including a school and conference record seven touchdown passes by Aggie QB Dustin Long—only to watch the much-vaunted Aggie defense give up over 500 yards themselves.

The Aggies fall to 3-2 on the season (0-1 in the Big 12).
