More Led Zeppelin, please?

Here in the D/FW area, there was a radio station—93.3 FM, “Merge Radio”—that used to play some decent stuff. Older R.E.M. and Psychedelic Furs, that kind of stuff. Oh, they played too much of the pseudo-alternative stuff, too (to pull a Chandler Bing, can there be any more Creed played on the radio?), but the station definitely didn’t suck.

Alas, all that is in the past, as 93.3 has switched formats to your ubiquitous classic/album rock gig, now calling itself The Bone. (No, I’m not kidding. And stop laughing.) With KZPS and The Eagle and the like already entrenched locally in this oversaturated format, will someone tell me why The Bone (snicker) is necessary? Looking at their web site, they apparently felt it was necessary to put more tits on the Internet, but that’s about all I can come up with so far…

Then again, I can occasionally be found listening to The Wolf (hint: “yee haw!”), so what the hell do I know, right?
