It’s now only three days til we’re supposed to close on our house.
The good news: Some of the repairs that we’d asked to have completed prior to closing are done (and are done well).
The bad news: Not all of the repairs are done, and it’s getting awfully late in the game to get them all fixed.
Even more bad news: At least one of the repairs was done badly.
So now, when we’re so close, things may get a bit uglier than I’d hoped for—we’re almost certainly going to have to ask the sellers to escrow enough additional funds to cover repairs and replacements, meaning there will be complaining from their end and insisting from our end and who knows if we’ll actually close on Friday after all.
